What does feminist literary translation look like in practice? Six literary translators were tasked with selecting a short literary text that would benefit from a feminist translation. The resulting anthology, published by the Emma Press, will be offered for free to everyone who attends – including an ebook for everyone who attends online.
Translators Marilyn Booth, Ruth Donnelly, Seán McDonagh, Elete Nelson-Fearon, Georgia Wall and Anam Zafar will read from their translations and reflect on what makes their translations ‘feminist’. The event will be chaired by Rosalind Harvey.
This event is organised in collaboration with Writing West Midlands and the Emma Press and is funded by an AHRC IAA grant.
