We’re delighted to announce the publication of our Anthology of New Feminist Translations. Earlier this year, we asked six translators – Marilyn Booth, Ruth Donnelly, Seán McDonagh, Elete Nelson-Fearon, Georgia Wall and Anam Zafar – to select a short literary text which would benefit from a feminist translation. The resulting translations are now available in a beautiful volume published by Birmingham-based independent publisher The Emma Press.
The volume will be launched at a special event at the Birmingham Literature Festival on Saturday 11 October 2025 – the translators will read from their translations and discuss what makes their translations ‘feminist’.
But don’t worry if you can’t make it to the launch – the book is free to download here
