Events

We will be running three events – in Birmingham, Oxford, and Norwich – and all of them are free to attend and open to all. We are planning to run the Birmingham and Oxford events online as well as in person; the Norwich event will be in person only.

Each event will feature a translation slam followed by a symposium, i.e. a roundtable discussion with the translators involved in the slam and other panellists. You are welcome to attend just one part of an event or come to both the slam and symposium. Further information and registration details will be posted below in due course.

For each event, we have five travel bursaries of £50 available for PhD students, freelancers, or those who do not have access to institutional funding. If you would like to be considered for a bursary, please send a short statement to: [email protected]
